UAE National Day

UAE National Day, celebrated on 2 December each year in the United Arab Emirates, commemorates the day in 1971 on which UAE founder Sheikh Zayed united six of the seven emirates that make up the country. The seventh emirate, Ras al Khaimah, was added to the federation on 10 February 1972, making it the last emirate to join.
