Impact

An important KPI for us to measure impact is to facilitate the appointment of competent women on boards. Through the Pathway20 alumni and the Manarat network, Aurora50 helps companies connect with relevant potential candidates for board nominations. Below are the listings for companies that are currently looking for a female board member(s).

Board position 1 - Education sector

An internationally accredited higher education institute is looking for potential women to join their board of directors.

Candidate qualifications:

  • Extensive professional experience (>10 years) with significant executive leadership accomplishments in higher education establishments in the UAE or the Middle East region.
  • Experience in growing/right-sizing similar organisations ensuring long term growth, quality of education and international ratings.
  • Savvy diplomatic skills and a natural affinity for cultivating relationships and persuading, convening, facilitating, and building consensus among diverse individuals.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and passion.
  • Having served or currently serving as a dean or on the board of trustees of a local or regional university is a big plus.

Board position 2 - Education sector

An internationally accredited higher education institute for medicine is looking for potential women to join their board of directors.

Candidate qualifications:

  • Extensive professional experience of 10+ with significant executive leadership accomplishments in higher education establishments in the UAE or the Middle East region.
  • Experience in growing similar scale companies ensuring long term growth, quality of education and international ratings.
  • Connections with large private healthcare establishments (hospitals) in the UAE for building of long-term partnerships.
  • Savvy diplomatic skills and a natural affinity for cultivating relationships and persuading, convening, facilitating, and building consensus among diverse individuals.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and passion.
  • Having served or currently serving as a dean or on the board of trustees of a local or regional medical university is a big plus.

Board position 3 - Luxury retail

An internationally accredited higher education institute for medicine is looking for potential women to join their board of directors.

Candidate qualifications:

  • Experience in driving M&As, due diligence, financial structuring, etc. while aligning with the strategic objectives of the organisation.
  • Strong contribution in setting and initiative the financial and non-financial preparedness for IPOs.
  • Preferably with prior board experience, bringing deep expertise in boardroom discussions. 
  • Possesses the time, energy, and willingness to become involved in the company’s business, its continued growth and development. 
  • No conflict of interest. 

Other personal characteristics:

  • Possessing the stature, integrity, personal values, leadership qualities and influencing skills appropriate for a role on the board. 
  • Possessing strong strategic and commercial skills
  • Ability to develop and articulate own thoughts, whilst being suitably collegiate and receptive to the views of others to compliment the collective strengths of the board members.
