HE Huda AlHashimi
Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Affairs
Her Excellency Huda AlHashimi holds the post of Assistant Director General for Strategy & Innovation, overseeing the Strategy & Policy Sector and Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Government Innovation, at the Prime Minister’s Office in the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and Future.
Her main role is to ensure the successful execution of the UAE Vision 2021 and National Innovation Strategy by developing, coordinating, reviewing and monitoring federal policies, as well ensuring effective and timely planning and delivery of the UAE government’s strategic outcomes.
In addition, Mrs. AlHashimi is responsible for the launch of the Government Accelerators, the world’s first Accelerator focusing on the rapid delivery of high priority government programmes following a unique and innovative approach.
She is also responsible for leading the set-up and running of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Center for Government Innovation.
She is also an active member of the UAE Gender Balance Council.
Before assuming her current position, AlHashimi was the Assistant Director General for Strategy and Innovation at the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs.
Previously, she was part of the founding team at the Executive Office, where she was involved in developing and launching key strategic projects such as Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
She also assumed the position of Director of Government Sector Development Department at Dubai Executive Council, where she supervised the government sector development programmes.
AlHashimi holds a BSC in Business Administration from the Higher Colleges of Technology, where she graduated with honours and received Sheikh Rashid Award for Scientific Excellence.
She is also an alumni of London Business School, and was enrolled in the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Leadership Development (MBRCLD) programme.
