Ahmed was born in 1971 in Al Ain, UAE. Ahmed is married and has four  children. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Management (USA)  1997. 

Ahmed currently is a Senior Advisor in Mubadala Investment Company  PJSC. Prior to that he has worked for Abu Dhabi Investment Authority from  1998 to 2005. 

During his service in Mubadala, Ahmed was seconded to many entities in  the local and federal government, and has held leadership positions such as,  Director General of Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, Deputy Director  General of National Electronic Security Authority, and Undersecretary of the  Ministry of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation. 

Ahmed’s expertise includes board positions in:
